Meet the Team

  • Keri Velardo

    Welcome! I am a New York State certified teacher from Putnam County. I am certified in Early Childhood Education (Birth-2), Childhood Education (1-6), and Students with Disabilities (1-6). I also hold a certification in Building Leadership. I have been teaching for over a decade and have a wealth of experience teaching in different types of settings. My time in education has not only afforded me with an abundance of knowledge within the classroom, but it has also afforded me with opportunities in mentoring teachers, participating on interviewing committees, and other educational consortiums. I have first-hand witnessed and understand the importance of a well-crafted resume and cover letter that effectively showcases one’s qualifications and skills. Through my work as a consultant with The Classroom Consultant, I am committed to providing guidance and valuable insight to empower you to accomplishing this. I want to help you navigate the stressful application process and increase your chances of securing your dream teaching position. Together, we can accomplish greatness!

  • Courtney O'Grady

    Hi there! I'm Courtney, a New York State certified teacher from the Bronx, NY. I am certified in both Childhood Education Grades 1-6 and Students with Disabilities and have experience in Catholic schools, New York City schools, and suburban schools. I've dedicated three years to empowering and supporting students as a Special Education teacher in NYC. For the past two years, I've been making a positive impact as a General Education 2nd-grade teacher in Pearl River, NY. Now, I'm excited to be part of The Classroom Consultants, where I help aspiring teachers excel in interviews and navigate the hiring process.     Hello! I’m Jill and I am a seasoned educator with 16 years of teaching experience across Catholic schools, New York City public schools, and currently in Rockland County. As a former classroom teacher and current ENL teacher, I bring a wealth of knowledge and adaptability to the table. Beyond my professional expertise, I am also a proud parent and step-parent, fostering a deep understanding of students’ individual needs. With a passion for guiding aspiring educators, I embrace the opportunity to offer personalized consultation, share effective teaching strategies, job market insights and professional development advice.
